Talk to your GP urgently if:

  • You're struggling emotionally and it's affecting daily life

  • You're experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety

  • You have heavy bleeding or other physical physical symptoms that concern you after loss or birth

  • You think you need referral to specialist services (counselling, psychiatry, physiotherapy)

Your GP can refer you to NHS perinatal mental health services, talking therapies, or specialist support.
